Pastor Louis Returns From Haiti

Today Pastor Louis Gimenez returned from Haiti. Church Jesus Is Alive Today contributed to his relief efforts in Haiti. He arrived in a small, private plane on Ft. Lauderdale International Airport. The situation in Haiti is bad, but in the middle of everything, Pastor Louis reported that thousands of Haitians are turning to Jesus. In the middle of the desperation and pain, many have turned to Jesus and renounced to Voodoo. The aid is there but it is slow to reach the victims. A lot of bureaucracy within the Haitian government makes it difficult for aid to successfully go through, but people are being helped. More than 1 million people have already left Port-Au-Prince to move to the safer, rural areas of the country, especially the north, which was not as affected by the earthquake as was the southern part of the country.

Many areas neighborhoods in the capital are still to receive any kind of medical attention or aid and the people in those areas are waiting for the aid to reach them. As Pastor Louis and others in his team delivered aid through the capital, he noticed a strong presence of American missionaries also helping out. He said he was happy to see so many Christians from the US present in Haiti. The US Army is also active in the city getting ready to move heavy machinery that is much needed to start the clean-up process. Many trucks are needed to take away all the rubble from various collapsed buildings.

We thank God that Pastor Louis was able to deliver much-needed aid in areas where aid has not arrived and also was able to coordinate buses to move Christians who lost everything in the capital to another city were a Pastor with a church will give them shelter and food.

Help for Haiti

Please visit www.jesusvivehoy.com to make a donation to help those in need in Haiti. A pastor from France, Louis Gimenez has recently traveled to Haiti to help relocate many christians from earthquake-rattled Por-au-Prince to a city 3 hours away where they will be looked after and have supplies and shelter for them.

The situation in the capital is so bad, Pastor Louis has told us, that the best option for residents is for them to move away from the capital. I will be updating this blog as we receive news about Pastor Louis. Please pray for him that God protects him and gives him the wisdom for him to be able to help as many as possible.
